Certified Nursing Assistants

Position Requirements:

• Current Listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry with no findings.
• Positive Reference Checks from Previous Employers
• Clean Criminal Background Check
• Current TB Skin Test
• Current CPR or Proof of Certification Class Enrollment
• Dependable Transportation and Babysitter
• 12 hours Continuing Education per Year
• Non-Certified persons must be willing to enroll in a CNA class within three months of employment

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting persons in their home with ADL's and IADL's:
  • bathing
  • grooming
  • dressing
  • hygiene
  • transfers and ambulation
  • exercise and ROM
  • preparing meals and assisting with feeding
  • vital signs and medication monitoring
  • housework
  • errands and shopping.
• Trained CNA's may assist with:
  • tube feedings
  • feeding and use of equipment for dysphagia
  • ostomy and ileostomy care
  • wound care
  • oxygen set up, monitoring and  tubing changes
  • bowel and bladder retraining
  • finger stick blood sugars
  • brace and splints
  • amputation and prosthesis care.

   

Registered Nurse

         Position Requirements:

• Current unrestricted North Carolina RN License
• Current CPR
• Current TB
• Dependable Transportation

         Responsibilities Include:

• Assessments
• Aide Supervision
• Wound Care
• Injections
• Infusion Therapy
• Pain Management
• Patient Teaching
